In September 2022 and November 2022, the IRM received two complaints related to concerns over working conditions and access to grievance mechanism in the Benban Solar Park, with relevance to FP039. The complainants were formerly employed by the company Health and Safety Home, working at various projects in the Benban Solar Park.

C0008 Paraguay
In June 2022, the IRM received a complaint relating to FP121. The complainant raised a concern that as the government recognized and legally established representative of the indigenous peoples of Paraguay, Instituto Paraguayo del Indígena (Paraguayan Indigenous Institute, INDI) should be included in the Board of Directors for FP121 but that this has not yet taken place.

In August 2021, the IRM received a complaint relating to FP018. The complainant(s) raised a concern that fees due to the complainant(s) had not been paid despite the completion of work under a consultancy contract with the Accredited Entity, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). In a virtual meeting with the complainant(s), the IRM obtained further information regarding the complainant(s)’s contract and explained the mandate of the IRM. During its eligibility determination phase, the complainant(s) wrote to the IRM on 26 August and withdrew the complaint.

C0003 Morocco
On 16 February 2020, the IRM received a complaint which was submitted through its online Case Management System (CMS). The complainant(s) had made a request for confidentiality, and the IRM provided confidentiality in accordance with its Procedures and Guidelines (PGs). The complaint related to GCF funded project FP043, the Saïss Water Conservation Project, based in the Saïss Plain in Morocco.

C0004 India
In May 2020, the IRM received a complaint relating to FP084. The complaint was about the clearance of mangroves for the development of a housing scheme in Andhra Pradesh. The complainant(s) alleged that the GCF should have taken steps to stop the felling of mangroves because the GCF has a project in the state of Andhra Pradesh which claims to be conserving mangroves. In July 2020, the IRM declared the complaint ineligible because the felling of the mangroves for the housing scheme did not occur within the FP084 project area, nor was the felling conducted by the Accredited Entity.
