Regional Workshop on Strengthening Accountability for Project-Affected Communities

The IRM will participate in the "Regional Workshop on Strengthening Accountability for Project-Affected Communities," which will take place on 17 and 18 September 2026 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. This joint IAMnet outreach event will bring together representatives of independent accountability mechanisms, civil society organisations and other stakeholders to strengthen understanding of how project-affected communities can raise concerns and seek remedy.

Through presentations, discussions and practical group exercises, participants will explore how to file a complaint, navigate dispute resolution and compliance processes, address threats and reprisals, and assess the impact of accountability mechanisms.
