To reinforce the Independent Redress Mechanism’s (IRM) presence at the grassroots level and raise awareness about its mission, and values in Latin America and Africa, the Independent Redress Mechanism (IRM) invites Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) to submit proposals to assist the IRM with communications and outreach with key audiences.

CSOs should be working in the fields of climate change, human rights and/or access to justice. The CSO should have experience enhancing accountability, conducting communication activities and engaging with the IRM’s key audiences. The CSO should also be based in Latin America or Africa.

Selected CSOs will receive a grant of USD $3,000 to carry out activities, including, but not limited to:

  • Creation of paid ads on social media
  • Organisation of virtual or in-person workshops/webinars
  • Distribution of printed or digital materials (brochures, pamphlets, newsletters, etc.)
  • Creation of public billboards or other advertisements

The budget can cover direct costs related to specific activities (internet access, related software, postage, printing, social media and local media ads, registration fees, etc.) and human resources or administrative costs and it must be used in 2023.

Proposals must be submitted on or before 30 June 2023 at 23.00 hours, Korean standard time. More information is available here: https://www.greenclimate.fund/procurement/rfq-2023-006
