IRM launches 2026 Advocacy Grant for CSOs

To strengthen the Independent Redress Mechanism’s (IRM) presence at the community level and raise awareness about its mission and values, the IRM invites Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) to submit proposals for a grant to assist the IRM with communications and outreach to local communities.

Eligible CSOs must have participated in one of the IRM’s previous in-person workshops, held in Rwanda, Morocco or Vietnam.

Selected CSOs will receive a grant of USD $5,000 to carry out activities, such as:

  • Creation of paid ads on social media
  • Organisation of virtual or in-person workshops/webinars
  • Engagements with local communiites
  • Distribution of printed or digital materials (brochures, pamphlets, newsletters, etc.)
  • Creation of public billboards or other advertisements

The grant can be used to cover direct costs related to specific activities (internet access, related software, postage, printing, social media and local media ads, registration fees, etc.) and human resources or administrative costs.

Proposals must be submitted by Friday, 20 March 2026. Selected CSOs will be notified in early April. Activities must be completed by September 2026. Grant recipients will receive the grant after completing all of the agreed activities and submitting a final report and blog.
