IRM publishes final compliance review report on C-0006 Nicaragua
Incheon, South Korea, 21 July 2023 – The Board of the Green Climate Fund (GCF) took a decision on the Independent Redress Mechanism’s (IRM) Case C-0006 Nicaragua at the thirty-sixth meeting (B.36) in Incheon, Republic of Korea on 12 July 2023.
As outlined in paragraph 64 of the IRM’s Procedures and Guidelines (PGs), “Within ten (10) calendar days from the day the Board takes a decision on the final compliance report submitted by the IRM, a copy of the final compliance report shall be made available to the complainant and published on the IRM website.” The final compliance review report is now available in English and Spanish on the IRM’s case register page for Nicaragua.
Regarding the Board’s decision on C-0006, the IRM’s PGs also outline that “A copy of the Board’s decision on the final compliance report shall be made available to the complainant and shall be published on the IRM website within five (5) calendar days from the date on which the Secretariat publishes the Board decision.” The final board compendium for B.36, which includes the Board’s decision on C-0006, is expected to be released in the coming weeks.
Per the Board's decision, the case status is now closed.

Update: On 21 July 2023, the GCF Secretariat released a summary of the final Board decision on C-0006, the reasons for the decision and the management response to the report. The full board decision on C-0006 will be included in the B.36 Board compendium and will be available shortly.
