The Independent Redress Mechanism (IRM) addresses complaints by people who believe they are negatively affected or may be affected by projects or programmes funded by the Green Climate Fund (GCF).

As part of this mandate, the IRM engages in outreach work to increase awareness of its role and work among potential complainants, civil society and the general public.

The IRM Civil Society Organisation (CSO) Advocacy Toolkit is intended to provide civil society with the tools to increase awareness of the IRM in their local communities. The toolkit consists of digital and physical materials, which can be selected and adapted based on the specific context of each CSO. Digital materials include email and social media content. Physical materials include posters, brochures and the IRM’s board game.

The IRM’s CSO Advocacy Toolkit is available in four languages – Arabic, English, French and Spanish.

If you have questions about the toolkit, please reach out to [email protected].
